After eight years at CCA Advertising, Mike Devlin has left to join Concentric Advertising, as head of its new pharma consumer shop.
This follows some of the general shuffling that’s taken place at CCA Advertising since inVentiv’s $65 million buyout of the company. Some report that CCA is pushing much of its consumer work under its design shop, called ‘nition.
We like Mike and think this is a big win for Concentric. In particular, Devlin has distinguished himself within the HIV category by creating breakthrough ads for Viracept that featured real patients, rather than buff, beautiful models. He thinks his experience and patient-centric approach in HIV is applicable to his current project at Concentric for Bayer’s MS drug Betaseron. “In HIV, the patients were so scared, and there was a real need for information and education,” says Devlin. “MS is a lot like that—there’s a real opportunity to help guide patients.”

A good move!
Mike has a lot to offer. I look forward to the work
developed for Betaseron.
A heart and soul Red Sox fan to boot.
